Gianluca Di Marzio has provided an update on the transfer situation of Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, stating that talks have resumed between Lloris and Serie A side Lazio. The Italian journalist revealed on his website that negotiations have been ‘reopened’ after fresh contact between the two parties. Earlier reports had indicated that Lazio president Claudio Lotito was keen on signing Lloris and was determined to complete the transfer. Alfredo Pedulla had also reported that Lotito was committed to pursuing the deal. The decision now appears to be in Lloris’s hands, and if he agrees to the terms without additional demands, the transfer…
Tottenham Hotspur still have a fair bit of business to attend to in the latter stages of the summer transfer window. Spurs are seemingly still looking for reinforcements up front in wake of Harry Kane’s departure from Tottenham. In addition, there haven’t been many outgoings at Spurs this summer. Just four moves out of N17, in fact. Kane and Harry Winks have been sold, Joe Rodon has gone out on loan, and Lucas Moura has left on a free. Several players with uncertain futures, such as Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, are still at Spurs for now. Rudy Galetti…
KAA Gent are ready to demand a Belgian record fee for Tottenham and Fulham target Gift Orban, sources have told Football Insider. It is believed Gent want between £30-40million to part with the 21-year-old this summer. The current Belgian record departure is the reported £31.1million paid by AC Milan for ex-Club Brugge man Charles De Ketelaere last summer (2022). But Gent are in a strong position to demand that interested sides smash that record for Orban this summer. The Belgian side are aware both Tottenham and Fulham have significant funds at their disposal following the respective sales of Harry Kane and Aleksandar Mitrovic.…
Tottenham Hotspur look set to miss out on Ernest Nuamah with the youngster completing a medical with Lyon. Ernest Nuamah is poised to sign for Lyon despite receiving interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain. That is according to French newspaper L’Equipe, who claim that Nuamah will be joining Lyon on loan for a year from Nordsjaelland. The deal will include a mandatory purchase clause worth around €23million (£19.6million) with Nuamah making a big move to France. L’Equipe’s report claims that Nuamah also had strong interest from Tottenham and PSG, who attempted to ramp up their move late on. Nuamah…
Tottenham blow as £40m summer signing picks up disturbing injury and could miss Bournemouth trip
Tottenham are sweating over the fitness of James Maddison with just three days to the game against Bournemouth. Tottenham have been dealt a huge injury blow with big-money summer signing James Maddison seen with protective boots and on crutches after the 2-0 win over Manchester United. The England international has wasted little time settling into life in north London, and building on his impressive debut against Brentford in the Manchester United game. Tottenham already have the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur, Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon all still out through injury so another confirmed injury to their main creative outlet will be seen as a massive blow ahead of their trip…
The Mali international has been sublime so far this season. Journalist Paul Brown has commented on Tottenham Hotspur star Yves Bissouma and how he could be set for a “big” new role this campaign. How good is Yves Bissouma? Spurs’ last match was also manager Ange Postecoglou’s first competitive victory in charge of his new club, as the north Londoners sealed a fairly comfortable 2-0 win over Man United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Postecoglou’s brand of attacking, aggressive football was on full display as second half goals from starlet midfielder Pape Matar Sarr and Lautaro Martinez (OG) gifted them…
Tottenham Hotspur will only sign a new striker if a good opportunity presents itself. That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who was speaking on The Here We Go Podcast. Tottenham could do with a new centre-forward after selling Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, but the Italian journalist says the north London club will not buy one just for the sake of it. Talking on his podcast, he said: “Speaking to my sources, they will only go for a new striker if they find a good opportunity. They don’t want to overpay. They don’t want to sign a striker just because they…
Tottenham Hotspur have approached Lille over the signing of striker Jonathan David this summer. That’s according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, who has been speaking to GiveMeSport about Spurs’ interest in David. Tottenham may be on the lookout for a new striker after losing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich this month. Ange Postecoglou’s men have fared well without the Englishman so far having picked up a statement win over Manchester United on Saturday. But Richarlison is yet to find the back of the net this season and while it’s still early days, his performances have been far from encouraging. Spurs have…
Tottenham poised to make formal bid for Ghana sensation as trio of Prem rivals also hunt deal
Tottenham are reportedly ready to make a formal bid for Ghana sensation who is also on the radar of a number of Premier League rivals including West Ham. Spurs are said to have a concrete interest in FC Nordsjaelland winger Ernest Nuamah as the clock counts down to September 1 and the close of the summer transfer window. However, it will not be plain sailing in their attempts to sign the 19-year-old, with West Ham, Burnley and Brighton also keen on his signature. Football Insider reports that Tottenham have already held preliminary discussions with the player’s representatives in the hope of striking a…
Ange Postecoglou admitted before last week’s game against Manchester United that his playing group is “too big as is” and that the “focus” would be on “trimming the squad down”. That is proving somewhat tricky though, with the future of three players in particular still under a cloud. Starting with Hugo Lloris, The Athletic reported last week that Lazio and Tottenham are in talks about a potential deal but there is a key stumbling block. Lazio is after a free transfer while Spurs want a small fee while also complicating matters is the fact Lloris himself does not want to be the…
