According to Santi Gimenez’s agent, Tottenham are interested in signing the Feyenoord striker before the transfer window shuts. After a summer long transfer saga, Tottenham finally sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich for a whopping £100m just days before the Premier League opener against Brentford. It came as a big setback for Ange Postecoglou as he lost his main striker just days before the campaign leaving less than a month for the club to find a suitable replacement for him. Tottenham have only signed 19-year-old Argentinan striker Alejo Veliz so far who is by no means seen as a replacement…
Tottenham Hotspur target Eberechi Eze was offered a new long-term contract by Crystal Palace earlier this summer, but the attacking midfielder has declined the offer so far. That is according to a report from 90min, which notes that Manchester City are also admirers of the England international following their failure to sign Lucas Paqueta. Palace are surely braced for the battle to keep Eberechi Eze to get harder and harder. The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the most exciting attacking midfielders in the Premier League. Tottenham target Eze has declined signing a new Crystal Palace contract Journalist Alasdair…
Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that many at Tottenham have been pleasantly surprised by the way Son Heung-min has stepped up to the plate since being handed the captain’s armband. Gold states that some at the club were surprised when Ange Postecoglou decided to hand Son the armband. Even though the forward has always been popular at the club and someone who is highly respected, not many saw him as a leader, demonstrated by the fact that he was not in the club’s previous leadership group, which consisted of Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Some at Spurs have been pleasantly surprised by Son…
Evan Ferguson has admitted he’s been trying to emulate the way Harry Kane plays amid rumours that Tottenham Hotspur will try and sign him. Ferguson was speaking to Football Focus ahead of an exciting campaign for Brighton. The Amex has suddenly become the best place for Premier League clubs to buy the best up-and-coming talent. In the past two seasons alone, the likes of Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister, Robert Sanchez, Marc Cucurella and Leandro Trossard have all been sold for significant fees. Tottenham have also benefitted from Brighton’s brilliant scouting network having signed Yves Bissouma last summer in a deal that could be worth up to £35m.…
Darren Ambrose has backed Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney. The 27-year-old is currently banned until January after he accepted that he broke the FA’s betting rules, but that hasn’t stopped people from tipping him for a transfer. Tottenham sold Harry Kane this summer and they will be looking for that proven goalscorer to come in, with Ambrose labelling Ivan Toney as an ‘ideal’ player for the club, as he told The Transfer Show on Sky Sports. Last season, for a Brentford side many were tipping to struggle, he scored 20 Premier League goals, including earning…
Gianluca Di Marzio has provided an update on the transfer situation of Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, stating that talks have resumed between Lloris and Serie A side Lazio. The Italian journalist revealed on his website that negotiations have been ‘reopened’ after fresh contact between the two parties. Earlier reports had indicated that Lazio president Claudio Lotito was keen on signing Lloris and was determined to complete the transfer. Alfredo Pedulla had also reported that Lotito was committed to pursuing the deal. The decision now appears to be in Lloris’s hands, and if he agrees to the terms without additional demands, the transfer…
Tottenham Hotspur still have a fair bit of business to attend to in the latter stages of the summer transfer window. Spurs are seemingly still looking for reinforcements up front in wake of Harry Kane’s departure from Tottenham. In addition, there haven’t been many outgoings at Spurs this summer. Just four moves out of N17, in fact. Kane and Harry Winks have been sold, Joe Rodon has gone out on loan, and Lucas Moura has left on a free. Several players with uncertain futures, such as Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, are still at Spurs for now. Rudy Galetti…
KAA Gent are ready to demand a Belgian record fee for Tottenham and Fulham target Gift Orban, sources have told Football Insider. It is believed Gent want between £30-40million to part with the 21-year-old this summer. The current Belgian record departure is the reported £31.1million paid by AC Milan for ex-Club Brugge man Charles De Ketelaere last summer (2022). But Gent are in a strong position to demand that interested sides smash that record for Orban this summer. The Belgian side are aware both Tottenham and Fulham have significant funds at their disposal following the respective sales of Harry Kane and Aleksandar Mitrovic.…
Tottenham Hotspur look set to miss out on Ernest Nuamah with the youngster completing a medical with Lyon. Ernest Nuamah is poised to sign for Lyon despite receiving interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain. That is according to French newspaper L’Equipe, who claim that Nuamah will be joining Lyon on loan for a year from Nordsjaelland. The deal will include a mandatory purchase clause worth around €23million (£19.6million) with Nuamah making a big move to France. L’Equipe’s report claims that Nuamah also had strong interest from Tottenham and PSG, who attempted to ramp up their move late on. Nuamah…
Tottenham blow as £40m summer signing picks up disturbing injury and could miss Bournemouth trip
Tottenham are sweating over the fitness of James Maddison with just three days to the game against Bournemouth. Tottenham have been dealt a huge injury blow with big-money summer signing James Maddison seen with protective boots and on crutches after the 2-0 win over Manchester United. The England international has wasted little time settling into life in north London, and building on his impressive debut against Brentford in the Manchester United game. Tottenham already have the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur, Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon all still out through injury so another confirmed injury to their main creative outlet will be seen as a massive blow ahead of their trip…
