The New York Giants are at a fork in the road. They enter Sunday at 2-7 prepared to start undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito, who began the season as a third-stringer, against the Dallas Cowboys due to multiple injuries and face the prospect of a long final eight games of the season. What awaits them if the struggles continue is a high draft pick (they entered Week 10 with the No. 4 overall selection). What they do with that pick will have long-term ramifications. If the season plays out as it has up to this point, these appear to be…
Moyes axes three, Michail Antonio left on bench – Confirmed West Ham United XI vs Nottingham Forest David Moyes’ confirmed starting XI as West Ham take on Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium has been released by the club. The Hammers manager has axed Konstantinos Mavropanos and Said Benrahma in favour of regular captain Kurt Zouma and Tomas Soucek, while switching cup keeper Lukasz Fabianski out for Alphonse Areola. He has also decided against restoring Michail Antonio to his usual domestic forward role after the Europa League victory over Olympiacos in midweek. The rest of the back line is made…
West Ham face depressing stats when they meet Forest this afternoon as after taking 10 points from a possible 12 in their opening games they have now lost five of the following seven top-flight games, including each of the last three. The BBC has also revealed that this is their longest losing run of games in the Premier League since they collapsed to five consecutive defeats at the end of 2022. Worse still possibly is the fact that we have dropped points in all three league fixtures this term that have immediately followed a Europa League game (D1, L2). So…

Sky Sports pundit laughs at suggestion West Ham United are interested in Bayer Leverkusen ace Victor Boniface Sky Sports pundit Dougie Critchley has laughed at the suggestion that West Ham are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface. TEAMtalk reported on Friday (10 November) that the Irons may attempt to sign one of Europe’s hottest prospects at the end of the season. However, Boniface is also expected to be on the radar of numerous heavyweight clubs across the continent given his form for Leverkusen. Replying to the speculation on his personal Twitter page (11 November), Critchley said: “I’m sorry…
Moyes hits out at Divin Mubama David Moyes has hit out at Divin Mubama over his decision not to sign a new deal at the club and is keen to blame agents for the problem. The manager – who has given the teenage striker very little time on the pitch – shoved him on in the last minute of normal time against Olympiacos but has told the London Evening Standard the player really does need to sign a new contract. He talks of him having competition in front of him but given the shape of that is Michail Antonio and…
Bad news for Moyes as Wolves move ahead of Hammers As the much-anticipated clash against Nottingham Forest looms, the spotlight intensifies on West Ham manager David Moyes. Opinions on the game’s significance vary; some argue that the outcome won’t influence the West Ham board’s decision regarding Moyes’ future, while others view it as a pivotal moment. Despite the mounting speculation, Moyes maintains a seemingly calm demeanour. During his pre-match press conference, Moyes displayed an air of indifference towards the game’s importance for his job security. Rather than dwelling on immediate concerns, he discussed plans to integrate more young players and…
Lions Week 10 injury report: 2 players miss Thursday’s practice After giving players a day off on Wednesday, the Detroit Lions (6-2) were back on the practice field on Thursday as they prepare to take on the Los Angeles Chargers (4-4) in Week 10. After having everyone listed as, at least, a limited participant on Wednesday’s injury report, the Lions had a couple of players unable to go on Thursday. Injured reserve Our own Jeremy Reisman pointed out that Jason Cabinda—who is now eligible to return from injured reserve—has begun working with trainers at practice. This is typically the first…
Texans WR Nico Collins (calf) ruled out vs. Bengals How will C.J. Stroud follow his record-breaking Week 9 performance? | ‘GMFB’ Nico Collins’ breakout season will be on pause this weekend. The Texans receiver was ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Bengals due to a calf injury. Collins appeared on the practice report — which was so long, it resembled a middle school’s attendance sheet, not an injury report — on Wednesday with the calf ailment, and was limited in practice. He didn’t improve enough to warrant trying to play through the injury, leading to Friday’s final determination. NFL…
Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase (back) questionable to play Sunday vs. Texans No damage was found in an MRI on Tuesday, but his bad back could keep Ja’Marr Chase out of the lineup on Sunday. Chase is officially questionable to play in the Cincinnati Bengals’ Week 10 tilt against the visiting Houston Texans. In the Bengals’ Week 9 victory against the Buffalo Bills, Chase skied for a high ball and came down with an ugly thud on his back. He didn’t leave the game, but he did miss practice on Wednesday before returning in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday.…
