Tottenham Hotspur fans probably learnt more about Radu Dragusin at Euro 2024 than they have done since he joined the club in January.
When Spurs signed the 22-year-old, many were excited by his arrival and they were looking forward to what he was going to produce on the Premier League stage.
But with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romeo having the Tottenham centre-back places locked down, Radu Dragusin only started four games and will now be looking to increase those numbers next term.
One thing is for sure, Dragusin has done himself a lot of good at Euro 2024 because a number of his performances were eye-catching.
Yes, Romania proceeded to get knocked out in a brutal fashion because they were beaten 3-0 by the Netherlands and the Spurs man made a costly error for their second goal.
But Romania’s 3-0 opening win over Ukraine was pretty memorable and Spurs’ back-up defender was lauded for his performance.
It’s not just what he has been doing on the pitch that has impressed people, but Dragusin has also caught the eye in training.
Either way, Ange Postecoglou will very much love what his player has produced this summer and now attention will turn to domestic matters.
But before that, Dragusin took to Instagram to react to Romania’s Euro 2024 exit and stated how his nation have ‘laid a solid foundation for a team that has shown desire and determination’.
The player was lauded and applauded in the comments section, including a brilliant message from his own club.

Tottenham fans should be excited because they have a player full of desire, determination and an all-action style.
His first six or so months at Spurs have allowed him to settle down and now he will be looking to break into the club’s first team.
Yes, it’s going to take a lot to dethrone Romero and van de Ven from their starting spots, but that’s why there is competition.
Plus, if players like Dragusin can break into the first XI and stay there, then it benefits Tottenham and their long-term future only.
