‘What a player’: Destiny Udogie impressed by £17m Tottenham player vs Fulham

Tottenham Hotspur picked up a comfortable 2-0 win over Fulham in the Premier League last night, and Destiny Udogie and Guglielmo Vicario seem impressed with each other.

It was an easy night’s work for Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Ange Postecoglou’s men were much superior in the first half, and even though they dropped off after the break, they got the job done. Vicario pulled off two huge saves – one in each half.

Fulham only have themselves to blame for the defeat against Tottenham last night, but Guglielmo Vicario deserves immense praise for his performance.

The Italian, who joined Spurs for £17 million in the summer (Daily Mail), is slowly proving to be one of the signings of the season. He has had a brilliant start to the campaign at Tottenham, and he seems to be getting better and better every game.

Fulham did have some joy in transitions last night, but once they got into the box, it was almost like they forgot how to finish.

However, Marco Silva‘s side did come close to scoring on two occasions – once in each half. Joao Palhinha fired a bullet header towards goal in the first half and we really thought it was going in. However, Vicario pulled off an outstanding save.

In the second half, Raul Jimenez went through on goal and had a golden opportunity to find the net. However, he was denied by a good Vicario save too.

The Italian took to Instagram to celebrate the win last night, and Destiny Udogie replied to his post: “What a player my brother!”

Vicario replied: “You are my monster.”

Udogie had a brilliant game for Tottenham too

There were a lot of positives for Tottenham to take last night with respect to individual performances.

Almost every single player on the pitch deserved praise for the way they played, but a special mention to Destiny Udogie, who was the youngest Spurs player to start the game last night.

The Italian is having an absolutely superb season. He’s still just 20 years old and even though this is his first-ever campaign in English football, he looks at home at Spurs.

Udogie has a bright future ahead of him, and under a manager like Postecoglou, we’re convinced he will become a star in the coming years.
