A week later, Fotomaç stated the forward has been in talks with the Hammers for a while. It was also reported he’s expected to leave Galatasaray in the summer window.
Fotospor now state West Ham have ‘officially requested information’ about signing the 31-year-old.
The Ivory Coast international joined the Istanbul club on a free transfer, after spending close to a decade in his second spell at Crystal Palace.
He’s managed 10 goals and five assists from 42 games this season, but the report says his performances weren’t up to the mark for Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk. Therefore, the player could be allowed to leave in the next window.

Galatasaray’s aim is to collect as much as possible and they’re looking to part ways with him as soon as possible, holding the belief the €12m fee is affordable for West Ham.
