West Ham United are set to offer Villareal star Alexander Sorloth a contract until 2030 to get a deal over the line, according to Caught Offside.
The outlet reported via its website on 17 July that the London-based club are set to have talks with the Norway international’s agents this coming week.
The report also adds that Roma, who were the favorites to sign Sorloth, are now worried that he may turn down their offer and choose to represent the Hammers instead.

Much like the deal that brought Max Kilman to the London Stadium this summer, Julen Lopetegui’s side are prepared to offer Sorloth a long-term deal to entice him to join the club.
The former Real Sociedad striker is 28 years old so if a deal is struck, his contract would keep him tied down to the club until he was 34.
This may seem like a massive gamble for someone who played minimal Premier League football and that’s because it is. But, for the fee to be distributed across multiple windows, long-term deals have to be made.
In fact, West Ham have already had an initial bid rejected [Corriere Dello Sport, 17 July, page 10] for the striker and could be set to try again.
The reasoning behind the Hammers wanting the cost to be spread across multiple seasons is likely so that they can add more players to their ranks without the worry of impeding PSR regulations.
Sorloth would be an ideal acquisition for Lopetegui and would no doubt be a solid replacement for Michail Antonio should he depart this summer.
