Senior West Ham stars are keen to learn who their manager will be in the long term, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (12 February) that a new deal for manager David Moyes was ready in December – but he is yet to give a definitive answer, even with his contract set to expire in June.
It is believed the West Ham players want a final decision to be made in due course with the uncertainty not helping performances or results.
The owners will now look to sit down with the 60-year-old imminently to get a definitive answer on his future.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that the relationship between Moyes and the vast majority of his senior squad is good.
Moyes has ‘good’ relationship with many West Ham stars
Football Insider revealed on Monday (12 February) that forward Jarrod Bowen is keen to continue playing for the man who brought him to the club in 2020 amid new speculation he could be sacked.
Sources say the offer tabled to the Scot is for a two-and-a-half-year extension, potentially keeping him at the London Stadium until June 2026.
It is believed the general expectation is that Moyes will pen a new deal despite the recent downturn at West Ham.
They are winless in their last seven games across all competitions and suffered a 6-0 home humiliation against Arsenal on Sunday (11 February).
Nevertheless, the London Stadium outfit remain eighth in the Premier League.
