West Ham star would be crazy to turn down Leeds after amazing offer

West Ham star would be crazy to turn down Leeds United after amazing offer. A West Ham star the club are desperate to offload this week would be crazy to turn down Leeds United after an amazing offer.West Ham and Leeds United have already done business in this summer transfer window.

The Reason Behind EVERY Premier League Mascot. But another deal could yet be made between the Hammers and Leeds before deadline day. West Ham expressed delight at being able to land Crysencio Summerville from Leeds.

The 22-year-old was officially the best player in the Championship with Leeds United last season, lighting up Elland Road every other week on what looked set to be an instant return to the top flight. But the flying Dutchman’s departure was inevitable when Leeds failed to win promotion back to the Premier League.

West Ham won the race for Summerville’s signature amid interest from the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, signing him for £26m. Leeds must now somehow look to replace Summerville’s goals.

Another deal on the cards between West Ham and Leeds?

And the Hammers want to try and bring in a younger pacy striker to compete with and partner veteran Niclas Fullkrug before the deadline.

Well those two matters could be intrinsically linked for West Ham and Leeds. Earlier this month journalist Graeme Bailey revealed West Ham are desperately trying to offload striker Danny Ings to free up wages and space for Jhon Duran.

But Bailey claimed Ings, who is on £125k per week at West Ham, is refusing to leave. That’s despite it being patently obvious he is way down the pecking order at the London Stadium.

Ings has reportedly turned down a move to Southampton already this summer. And now Leeds are reportedly keen to sign Ings by Friday according to a report from talkSPORT journalist Darren Whitcoop.

If Ings was not up for joining Southampton in the Premier League then one has to wonder whether he would want to join Leeds. Danny Ings of West Ham United during Pre-Season training on July 09, 2024 in Kitzbuehel, Austria.

Ings would be crazy to turn down Leeds after amazing offer. But the West Ham star would be crazy to turn down Leeds United after this amazing offer.

At 32, the chance to play for a massive club like Leeds may not come around again for Ings.

Instead of rotting on West Ham’s bench – or potentially being out of the squad altogether post deadline – he has the chance to go and be a hero at a big, proud club with passionate fans. Elland Road is one of the great English stadiums, especially when it’s rocking.

And the West Ham flop can be the man to help make that happen. Ings could be the difference for Leeds in their push for promotion this season.

Goals are priceless at any level. But more often than not it is the team who has the league’s top scorer that ends up winning promotion from the Championship.

Ings must wake up and smell the coffee. Forget money, this is about ending his career on a high note. Go and be a hero at a big, proud club Danny

The Hammers forward must realise he is now that player who can go to a Championship side looking for promotion and helping get them up.

He could then be a regular in the Premier League again for Leeds thereafter. But if not then again he will attract interest from other Championship sides looking to get back up.

It can be a very exciting and lucrative way for Ings to end his career. Being a hero at Leeds as you get them back to where they feel they belong is surely better than being labelled a flop and becoming a meme in east London?
