West Ham set to advance talks to sign centre-back – Kia Joorabchian in negotiations on Monday. West Ham United are expected to carry on with the talks for the signing of Vitão this week.
According to Revista Colorada, who broke the news about the Hammers’ interest, Kia Joorabchian should ‘advance’ with the talks on Monday.
It’s recalled that West Ham already placed a €8m for the signing, and with Internacional demanding €12m, the negotiations continue.
Vitão legally belongs to Shakhtar Donetsk until the end of the month. However, while on loan at Internacional, he has already signed a pre-contract for a five-year deal.
That means the Brazilian club can’t actually sell the player until July, so there’s no big hurry to get all details sorted now.
Club president Alessandro Barcellos spoke at the weekend about Vitão’s situation, and made it clear there’s no pressure to sell the player right now. The quotes come from Zero Hora.
“Vitão has a contract until June. He has a specific situation. From July we’ll deal with it publicly. Bustos has a contract with Inter with a renewal clause until 2026. They will only leave if Inter wants them to. We’re not going to lose any players. We take very good care of our contracts. Rest assured.”
The centre-back is apparently just one of the many deals that West Ham have been working on in Brazil in the past few weeks. He’s reportedly an alternative for Fabricio Bruno, who did not accept the personal terms offered by the Premier League side.
