West Ham reveal top priority transfers
West Ham have revealed their top priorities for the upcoming transfer window. Speaking exclusively to Claret & Hugh, a top source at the club indicated that the transfers they will pursue with the most urgency are not one, but TWO central defenders.
This will come as little surprise to anyone who has watched the Hammers defend this season. The 71 goals conceded is a Premier League record for West Ham, and we still have to play Manchester City in the final game
The club is fully aware of the perilous state of its defence. Kurt Zouma appears to be on the verge of breaking down, Angelo Ogbonna is nearing retirement, and as Claret & Hugh disclosed earlier, Nayef Aguerd is still set to leave the club.

This has hastened the urgency among the club hierarchy, who recognise that significant changes are required at the heart of the team. Tim Steidten, Julen Lopetegui, and David Sullivan are all unified in their belief that two central defenders will need to be signed in this summer’s transfer window.

David Moyes Manager of West Ham United with Jarrod Bowen
As a ringing endorsement of David Moyes’ reign, Jarrod Bowen’s tribute was as authentic as the Bow bells’ Cockney chimes themselves.
Sluggish at first, West Ham turned Moyes’ passing-out parade at the Taxpayers Stadium into a party and left Luton Town’s tired Premier League fairytale on life support. The departing Hammers boss took over perennial relegation candidates, but after three long runs in Europe and the club’s first trophy in 43 years, his work is done.
