West Ham on the verge of making the perfect January signing we’ve all been crying out for. West Ham United could make some serious waves in the January transfer window it seems.
Julen Lopetegui desperately needs to make some additions to his ranks at West Ham this winter.
One area in particular where he needs to bolster is his central midfield department, with the need for some power and athleticism in the engine room painfully obvious to see.

Considering we spent so much money in the summer, the central midfield was so poorly constructed by Lopetegui and Tim Steidten, and we’re paying for that now.
The addition of a midfield powerhouse should be the number one priority for the Hammers in January, and it seems as though that’s exactly what Lopetegui is thinking as well.
The absolute perfect central midfielder for us could be East London bound this winter it seems…
West Ham on verge of making the perfect Richard Rios signing. According to a report from Hoy Diario del Magdalena, West Ham are pushing hard to sign Richard Rios.

However, we could face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for the 24-year-old’s signature.
Rios is someone who has been linked with West Ham already, and he’d be the perfect January addition to Lopetegui’s ranks.
We haven’t had a powerful and energetic ball-carrier in our midfield since Declan Rice left to join Arsenal in the summer of 2023.
The Colombia international could change all of that in an instant though. Rios is a sensational dribbler, and he possesses impeccably tight ball control.

Standing at 6ft 2in tall with energy, power, dynamism and athleticism in abundance, he can beat the opposition’s press with ease. The Colombia international clearly possesses the physical attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.
He’s extremely tenacious and aggressive in the tackle as well.
Richard Rios would transform this West Ham team overnight.
Let’s just hope that we’re able to get the deal done in January.
