West Ham now in even stronger position to negotiate purchase – Pieces slotting into place for Hammers. West Ham United now find themselves in a much stronger position in negotiations with Paris Saint Germain over Carlos Soler thanks to the French side’s need to open up loan slots.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who say the French side need to sell so they can loan out Milan Skriniar.
It was explained earlier this week that West Ham are keen to sign Soler on a permanent basis after being left by his loan spell at the London Stadium so far.
They have a €20m option to do so and are in negotiations with PSG about making that happen. However, there may be an opportunity for them to get him for less.
That’s because the French giants are trying to move on Milan Skriniar and Randal Kolo Muani at this moment in time.
Both players are leaving on loan to Fenerbahce and Juventus but for those to be finalised, PSG need to open up slots. They currently have six players out on loan, so need to either recall or sell some of those players before they can sanction more loan exits.
Soler is one of them, leaving West Ham with a powerful bargaining chip in their hands. The constant suggestion has been they can use the situation to their advantage.
That’s now been doubled as PSG need to open up two slots, meaning that even if they sort a deal for the likes of Cher Ndour, they still need to work out another anyway.
That is something West Ham can easily take advantage of to get Soler for a lower price, although whether they can do remain to be seen.
