West Ham heartbreak incoming with Arsenal bid for ‘incredible’ 24-year-old reportedly imminent

West Ham heartbreak incoming with Arsenal bid for ‘incredible’ 24-year-old reportedly imminent. Well, it has been a great transfer window for West Ham United so far, but Arsenal could be set to throw a big spanner in the works.

Both West Ham and Arsenal are still far from done regarding their respective summer transfer window business is concerned. Julen Lopetegui has made some brilliant signings already this summer, but the Hammers head coach is on the hunt for more.

The 57-year-old has already made it very clear that he hasn’t been happy with the performances of his players during pre-season. Despite having brought in six new signings this summer, Lopetegui needs at least three more in my opinion, if we are to push for a top six place this season.

The need for a right-back has been well-documented, and the same can be said for the addition of another centre-back.

It could also be argued that our attacking ranks need even more attention. However, Arsenal could be set to scupper one of the Hammers’ key transfer plans this summer.

Arsenal could beat West Ham to Baris Alper Yilmaz

According to a report from Sok Gazetesi, Arsenal are preparing a £17 million summer bid for Baris Alper Yilmaz – a fee that Galatasaray may now accept.

West Ham have been heavily linked with a move to sign the 24-year-old winger this summer, and the Turkish giants were initially demanding around £30 million for him. It has actually been claimed that we’ve already held a meeting with the 20-capped Turkey international’s agent.

They seem to have lowered their demands now though, and he’d be such a good signing for the Hammers for that kind of money. However, with Arsenal now having thrown their hat into the ring in the race for his signature, our hopes of signing him could be well and truly dead in the water.

What a shame that is, because the versatile forward would be perfect for the Hammers. Yilmaz really stood out for Turkey out in Germany at Euro 2024, and he is a hot commodity this summer.

He bagged seven goals and 12 assists in 55 games for Galatasaray last season, and played a key role in their historical title win. Described as ‘incredible’ by beIN SPORTS, the Galatasaray ace has everything needed to succeed at the very highest level in the Premier League.

Yilmaz is a right-footed right winger – a rare commodity in this day and age. However, he can play out wide on the left as well, and through the middle as a striker if need be. The 24-year-old possesses really impressive pace, incredible technical ability and always plays with real drive and determination.

I have no doubts that the Turkish ace is ready to make the jump up in quality from the Super Lig to the Premier League. Arsenal beating West Ham to the signing of Bris Alper Yilmaz this summer would really hurt, I can’t lie.
