West Ham fans sent clear message to Potter at the London Stadium during Bournemouth draw

West Ham fans sent clear message to Graham Potter at the London Stadium during Bournemouth draw. West Ham United played Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, and Graham Potter was sent a strong message by the fans.

Graham Potter has made a slow start to his reign in charge of West Ham at the London Stadium. The Hammers fans are still waiting for their ‘new manager bounce’, and there was no sign that they were any closer to getting that after the first-half against Bournemouth.

Graham Potter has laid the law down to his West Ham players, by suggesting that none of them are at the levels he expects them to be. And they quite simply weren’t at it yet again during the first-half.

However, the Hammers head coach oversaw a big turnaround after the break, with his team coming from behind with goals from Niclas Fullkrug and Jarrod Bowen. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, but numerous problems are clearly still there for all to see.

West Ham fans sent message to Graham Potter during Bournemouth draw

The Hammers fans have been incredibly unhappy this season, and rightly so. The performances during Julen Lopetegui’s tenure were incredibly hard to watch.

And in fairness, they haven’t got better really under Potter. However, it has to be said that there were big improvements during the second-half against Bournemouth.

At half-time, after what was a painfully poor first-half display, Potter and his players were booed off the pitch. It was a performance devoid of any kind of passion, intensity or energy, and the fans let the players know about it.

Some fans think Potter isn’t ruthless enough with his underperforming players – that’s why he was sacked from the Chelsea job apparently (The Times).

Graham Potter failed to listen to West Ham fans before Bournemouth

Potter continues to get his starting XI completely wrong.

Time after time over the past few months, he has persisted with players who aren’t good enough, whilst he continues to deploy certain key men in the wrong positions – Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen are great examples of that.

Niclas Fullkrug had to start for West Ham against Bournemouth on Saturday – Hammers News told you this before the game.

If fact, every Hammers fan and their dogs could have told you it. He was our best player against Wolves in midweek, and he needs to be starting every game now.

Graham Potter made the mistake of not playing the German from the start, and that probably cost West Ham a win against the Cherries. We all saw just how pivotal Fullkrug will be for his team when he came on.
