View: Summer signing to be axed, Mubama decision made – Predicted West Ham XI v Spurs

David Moyes could look to make changes to his West Ham starting lineup for their big Premier League clash with Tottenham on Thursday night.

The Hammers were held to a disappointing home draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday, while Spurs held treble winners Manchester City to a thrilling 3-3 draw later that day.

But after a disappointing showing at the London Stadium, Moyes could look to freshen things up with a hectic schedule on the horizon for the Irons.

Alphonse Areola is firmly the number one goalkeeper at the club now and should keep his place as he continues to perform well, keeping Lukasz Fabianski out of the team.

In defence Vladimir Coufal has emerged above Thilo Kehrer and Ben Johnson as the starting right-back, while Emerson Palmieri is the starting left-back ahead of Aaron Cresswell these days and both will expect to start.

Captain Kurt Zouma missed the game after his home was burgled but the French defender is likely to return to the team for this game, and after summer signing Dinos Mavropanos made a huge error to allow Palace to score at the weekend he is likely to be the man to drop out of the side. Nayef Aguerd should continue as the partner.

In midfield Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse have formed a strong understanding and a great balance so will continue, while Tomas Soucek has found some excellent goalscoring form while playing in a more advanced role and should also start again.

Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus have linked up well in attacking positions and provide great energy from the wide roles that David Moyes has given them, so they will look to keep up that momentum with another start.

Michail Antonio is still out injured with the knee problem suffered on international duty, while Danny Ings is completely out of favour up front.

But while Divin Mubama got his goal against Burnley he struggled in his start in the Europa League, so with Jarrod Bowen fit again he should get the nod through the middle once more.
