Julen Lopetegui must keep hold of 100% West Ham star in January. Julen Lopetegui will be hoping that West Ham can hold onto Aaron Wan-Bissaka throughout the January transfer window after his recent form.
With the January window approaching, it is vital for the Spanish manager to keep the right players to help his side turn things around.
The 27-year-old has been a core part of Lopetegui’s side this term with 17 appearances under his belt and his recent performances showing just how important he is for the Hammers.
Therefore, the Hammers will be hoping that no one is interested in the defender to boost their teams next month as they limp through games.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka impressing for West Ham
The defender was the starman in the 1-0 win against Southampton on Thursday (26 December), receiving the highest FotMob score in the game with a rating of 8.3.
Throughout the full 90 minutes he played, the defender won 100 per cent of his tackles and made three clearances in the game. In addition, Wan-Bissaka also won 100 per cent of his ground duels and made six defensive actions.
It’s not only defensively that the player succeeded though as the 27-year-old had a passing accuracy of 81 per cent with 100 per cent of his dribbles successful. This shows the impact that Wan-Bissaka can have at both ends of the pitch which makes him a core part of the team.
As Lopetegui looks towards 2025 with a more hopeful mindset, wanting to secure his future at The London Stadium, the manager will be hopeful that no other clubs are interested in securing the defender’s services as he proves his importance in the Irons side.
In other West Ham news, the Irons are considering a move for a Championship midfielder after a contract development.
