West Ham firmly in the race to sign incredible 24-yo left winger – ‘Transfer inevitable’. West Ham United could be set to sign an extremely talented left winger in the summer transfer window.
Julen Lopetegui has made a decent start to the summer transfer window but things really need to kick into gear now for West Ham, with the new Premier League season just three weeks away.
The Hammers head coach has addressed his right wing, centre-back and goalkeeping departments, but many more new additions are required.
The need for a new striker and a central midfielder has been well-documented, but Lopetegui desperately requires a top-class left winger as well.
Preferably, the Spaniard needs to bring a right-footed left winger to the London Stadium, to provide us with some more balance on that side of the pitch.

And it seems like he’ll have a great chance to sign a really high quality player for relative peanuts this summer…
West Ham firmly in the race to sign left winger Jota Silva
Jota Silva of Vitoria de Guimaraes has been on the Hammers’ radar all summer long, And now, the Record (print edition July 27th, page 19) are claiming that the 24-year-old’s exit from Vitoria de Guimaraes is ‘inevitable’ this summer.
And West Ham are named as a team firmly in the hunt to sing Silva before the summer window slams shut.
The same newspaper reported in their print edition on Monday July 22nd that the winger could be available for as little as €10 (£8.5 million) this summer.

What an incredible bargain deal that would be for the Hammers – Lopetegui quite simply needs to get this one done asap.
The West Ham head coach is in desperate need of a right-footed left winger, after Said Benrahma left the club to join Lyon on a permanent deal earlier this summer. And Silva would be the perfect man for the job. He lit up Primeira Liga with Vitoria de Guimaraes last season, and was actually very unlucky not to be part of the Portugal squad for EURO 2024.
Silva possesses pace in abundance, a wicked shot, exceptional technical ability and is an extremely hard worker. The attacker bagged an impressive 15 goals and seven assists for Vitoria de Guimaraes out in Portugal last season.
Signing Jota Silva for just £8.5 million this summer should be an absolute no-brainer for West Ham as far as I’m concerned – he’d be perfect for us.
