Tottenham have sold striker Harry Kane to Bayern Munich and banked £100million waiting to invest it in the right player. Brentford striker Ivan Toney who is a transfer target for Tottenham to replace Harry Kane has joined Stellar CAA fuelling speculations that he could move in 2024.
The one-time capped England international will not kick a ball this year as he is serving an eight-month ban for breaking betting rules. Toney is however posied to return in January when his ban is over and is already making moves, looking forward to it by dumping his long-term agent and moving to the team that was behind Gareth Bale’s record-breaking move to Real Madrid in 2013.
The 27-year-old bagged 20 goals for Brentford and has been linked to the likes of Spurs and Chelsea before it all came crashing down after he broke Premier League betting rules and had to pay for it.
He explained why he decided to join the team known by many footballers as the one who make things happen. Toney said: “It is very timely for me to be joining CAA Stellar.
“It feels like a fresh beginning. Never underestimate the power you have to take your life in a new direction.” According to the Times, Brentford have put a £80million price tag on the goal poacher as they are aware that he will look to move on once he returns to the field.
Tottenham have the money having just banked £100million from the sale of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich and are looking for an ideal target man to replace him. The former Peterborough striker has established himself as one of the best forward’s in the Premier League for the last two years.
