Tottenham ready to sanction the departure of 2024 arrival in January

Tottenham is ready to sanction the departure of 2024 arrival in January. Tottenham Hotspur attacker Timo Werner has struggled for regular game time at the North London club since joining them on loan at the start of the season.

According to a report from Kicker, Tottenham are prepared to let the player leave and would be willing to end his loan deal in January.

The 28-year-old is not a key player for them, and it does not make sense for the club to hold onto him. The German international has played 214 minutes of Premier League football with Tottenham this season. He needs to play more often at this stage of his career, and it will be interesting to see if the player is keen on an exit.

He needs to join a club where he will get ample gametime and he will be a regular starter. There is no doubt that he could be a quality player in the right team. Werner can operate as a centre forward as well as a winger. His attacking quality and willingness to work hard defensively make him an asset.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up. He joined Tottenham on loan in January 2024 and the Londoners extended the loan spell in summer. His performances have been unconvincing since joining the club.

Timo Werner has no future at Tottenham

Meanwhile, Tottenham are currently well-stocked in the wide areas and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for a striker in the near future. They could certainly use another reliable goalscorer to compete with Dominic Solanke.

The report further states that Werner’s parent club RB Leipzig are prepared to sanction another loan deal for him or a permanent departure in January. He is unwanted at the German club and they will hope to get the player off their books. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Werner has proven himself in the Bundesliga over the years, but he has not been able to live up to the expectations in the Premier League. After a mediocre spell with Chelsea, the move to Tottenham has not worked out either.
