Those slaughtering West Ham fans for ‘forcing Moyes out’ should read what Kudus has just said

West Ham United superstar Mohammed Kudus has just said something incredibly profound indeed.

Mohammed Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax in the summer of 2023, and the Ghana international has been incredible for us, although he recently insisted that he will get even better.

The 23-year-old has bagged 14 goals and seven assists for the Hammers during his debut campaign at the London Stadium.

David Moyes deserves credit for signing him, although Tim Steidten is the man widely believed to have driven the deal for the Ghanaian.

With Moyes now leaving, and with Julen Lopetegui imminently set to replace him, Kudus will be expected to reach another level next season.

I firmly believe that he’s capable of it, and the new Hammers boss should give him more freedom to shine than he was allowed under Moyes.

If you believe some pundit and certain media outlets though, the West Ham fans should be ashamed of ourselves for forcing Moyes out of the club!

The likes of Alan Shearer have criticised the West Ham fanbase for our so-called unfair treatment of Moyes recently.

And then Garth Crooks suggested that the Hammers fans ‘forced Moyes out of the club’:

“As for Moyes, well, he has departed on good terms and left the club in a far better state than when he arrived. The West Ham fans have driven him out and wait to see what Julen Lopetegui can do. Be careful what you wish for.”

Meanwhile, the likes of Rio Ferdinand have told the West Ham supporters to ‘be careful what you wish for’ (Eurosport).

So rather than listen to them, why not listen to one of our own players?

Mohammed Kudus has just made West Ham fans very happy

The former Ajax man is clearly a huge fan of the Hammers supporters.

Kudus spoke to WHUFC.com, and offered high words of praise for the Hammers fans, “Big, big credit to them and applause to the fans. Their energy has been immense throughout the whole season.”

The Ghanaian continued, “During the tough times they have always been there supporting us, and travelling for the games. For my first season it has been incredible playing under their voices, sounds and energy because they play a big part in the game.”

That’s so good to hear, and it should serve as a reminder to the naysayers that there quite simply aren’t any better fans in English football than the Hammers supporters.

Remember, from 1980-2023 we went 43 years without a major trophy to celebrate, yet still turned up to support our team in our droves.

In my opinion, we get an extremely bad rap from the media and pundits alike – one that is totally undeserved.

And with that in mind, the comments from Mohammed Kudus on the West Ham fans were incredibly refreshing to hear.
