According to a report in Futbol Total (as relayed by Dailysports.net), Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a move to sign Girona winger Viktor Tsyhankov in January.
Tsyhankov first made a name for himself at Dynamo Kyiv and he has impressed since making the switch to Spain back in January of this year.
The 26-year-old has become an important player for Girona, having scored three times and provided three assists in 14 La Liga appearances so far this season (Transfermarkt).
The versatile attacker, who can play on either flank and can operate as a number eight or ten, has been capped 50 times by Ukraine, scoring 11 goals.
Tottenham ready to move for Viktor Tsyhankov
Futbol Total have now claimed that Tsyhankov’s impressive performances have caught the attention of Spurs, who are ready to make a move for him when the transfer window opens next month.
The report asserts that the winger has a release clause of €30m (£25.8m) in contract with Girona, which Ange Postecoglou’s men are willing to meet.
This seems like a spurious transfer link, with none of the mainstream British or Spanish publications suggesting that Tsyhankov is on Tottenham’s radar. We have to wait and see how this story evolves.
