West Ham star sends rare post on social media and it suggests he’s on his way. A West Ham star has sent a rare post on social media and it suggests he’s on his way out of the club before the transfer deadline.
West Ham fans will be well aware by now that the club is desperately trying to offload players before the window shuts tomorrow. The Hammers are looking to try and make one or two more signings.
PSG outcast midfielder Carlos Soler is on standby to join West Ham if the club can ship players out first. Kurt Zouma is expected to complete a move to Saudi while the Hammers are also looking to ship Nayef Aguerd, Danny Ings and Maxwel Cornet out too.
The Irons may even entertain bids for James Ward-Prowse amid reported interest from Nottingham Forest. Exits will be key to any incomings. Outgoings key to arrivals at West Ham before deadline. And as West Ham once again rode their luck in the unconvincing Carabao Cup win over Bournemouth last night, it was clear to see a playmaker and pacy forward are needed.

Those are the two positions West Ham are working to strengthen. Any new arrivals will likely be loans with obligations regardless of what happens in terms of sales.
With outgoings being fundamental to West Ham’s hopes of making signings, there seems to be some good news overnight.
Yesterday The Telegraph claimed Southampton are weighing up a late move for West Ham winger Cornet. The Saints saving West Ham and Cornet from his nightmare would be excellent news for all parties.
The Ivory Coast winger has barely kicked a ball since signing from Burnley for £17.5m two years ago. Cornet’s rare social post suggests he’s on his way. But the West Ham star has sent a rare post on social media and it suggests he’s on his way.
Cornet took to his Instagram account to post a selfie in what looks like an airport or hotel lift.

He cryptically captioned the picture: “Time is key.”
West Ham fans were wishing him safe travels and good luck in the responses with the general consensus being that he is on his way somewhere else. It was Cornet’s first post on the platform since July 3rd.

Cornet’s face simply has did fit at West Ham under David Moyes. And it seems that is the case under the Scot’s predecessor Julen Lopetegui.
He has made just two Premier League starts for the Hammers in two years. Cornet was linked with moves to Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest in January while Everton were also said to be interested.

Cornet must leave for his own good as much as West Ham’s
But he remained with the Hammers.
To rub salt in the wound for Cornet, Moyes bemoaned his lack of left-sided attacking options last season and admitted he tried but failed to sign a player in that position in January. Such has been Cornet’s lack of action since joining West Ham, his absence from the squad went largely unnoticed at time last term.
That has continued into Lopetegui era, suggesting he is very much surplus to requirements. Especially given the arrival of Crysencio Summerville and Lopetegui playing Mohammed Kudus on the left.
All sorts of conspiracy theories have abound regarding the reason behind Cornet’s ill-fated Hammers spell. But whatever the truth behind it, Cornet simply must move on for his own good as much as West Ham’s before 11pm on Friday night.
