Son is back, Lo Celso starts, and Udogie is on the field for Tottenham against Leicester, according to Postecoglou.

Here we take a look at the Tottenham teams that would possibly be selected for Sunday’s pre-season friendly against Leicester City in Bangkok, Thailand.

Tottenham are back in action on Sunday with their second pre-season friendly of the summer on the agenda. Having lost 3-2 against West Ham in Australia on Tuesday, this time Spurs will be playing in Thailand with Leicester City their opponents.

It should be another good test for Ange Postecoglou’s side, who impressed in the defeat to the Hammers as they dominated play and had 32 shots on goal across the 90 minutes. The game at Rajamangala National Stadium will see James Maddison come up against his former club for the first time, with the same going for Harry Winks after he departed Tottenham for Leicester at the beginning of July.

Rob Guest – Tottenham Hotspur reporter

Having played a different XI in each half against West Ham on Tuesday, Ange Postecoglou could well mix and match this time in terms of his starting team. Guglielmo Vicario should start in goal once again, with Emerson Royal and Destiny Udogie getting the nod in the full-back positions.

Davinson Sanchez, who had a decent 45 minutes other than when he was caught out for West Ham’s third goal of the night, can then partner Cristian Romero at the back, before Eric Dier and Joe Rodon get their first pre-season minutes in the second half. In midfield, Giovani Lo Celso deserves a starting spot after he wowed against the Hammers and scored Tottenham’s first of the night in Perth.

The Argentina international is then joined in midfield by Yves Bissouma in the No.6 position and new signing James Maddison. As bright as Manor Solomon was against West Ham, Son Heung-min should come into the team and partner Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane in attack.

Guest’s team: Vicario; Emerson, Romero, Sanchez, Udogie; Bissouma, Maddison, Lo Celso; Kulusevski, Kane, Son

If we work on the assumption that Ange Postecoglou will rotate his team at half-time of the game against Leicester, as is often the case with friendlies, it’s anybody’s guess who takes to the pitch first up.

Guglielmo Vicario should start once again and I would be interested to see a back-line of Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero, Japhet Tanganga and Destiny Udogie.

I think Tanganga has the ability to play in a Postecoglou defence and would like to see him paired with Romero again. Ivan Perisic did well in the second half against West Ham, but I’d like to see Udogie again, this time from the start.

Ahead of them I’d play Yves Bissouma in the holding midfield role once more and it must be time to see what Tanguy Ndombele can do in an attacking midfield role, following his slight injury. James Maddison should accompany him.
