‘So good’: Mohammed Kudus absolutely raves about ‘wonderful’ West Ham teammate

Mohammed Kudus has spoken very highly indeed about one of his teammates after West Ham United beat Arsenal in the Carabao Cup last night.

West Ham put in a top-class display against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup fourth round clash, and Mohammed Kudus was a real stand-out performer for the home side.

Hammers boss David Moyes has eased the 23-year-old into action slowly this season, but he has started our last three games in all competitions, and the Scot has absolutely raved about the Ghanian’s recent performances.

Kudus was in sensational form once again last night, and he scored a truly brilliant goal against the Gunners.

However, the goal would not have been possible without the unbelievably good pass from Nayef Aguerd.

The 27-year-old has endured plenty of criticism from the fans this season, but without that pass last night, we might not have beaten Arsenal so comfortably…

Mohammed Kudus absolutely raves about ‘wonderful’ West Ham teammate

The Ghana international was absolutely buzzing after last night’s emphatic 3-1 win over our London rivals Arsenal, and rightly so.

Kudus gave huge credit to his teammate Aguerd after the Moroccan set him up to score his brilliant goal against the Gunners at the London Stadium, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“The pass was so good that I didn’t have to do much because it almost ended up being in the box, so I had to just take my touch inside and shoot, so thanks to Nayef for that wonderful pass!”

Aguerd has definitely got that sort of pass in his locker, but he does need to improve upon his defending, if he’s going to succeed in the Premier League.

The Moroccan is brilliant technically and comfortable with the ball at his feet, but his positional awareness and concentration levels just haven’t been good enough.

Hopefully the role he played in Mohammed Kudus’s goal for West Ham yesterday will give him the confidence boost that he needs to refocus and rediscover his very best form.

As mentioned earlier though, Aguerd absolutely must get the basics right before he gets any credit for pinging 50 yard cross-field passes to his teammates.
