According to Sheth, the next manager will wield less influence over player recruitment compared to Moyes. This potential shift towards a more continental model would entail technical director Tim Steidten taking the reins in player selection, leaving the head coach with a primary focus on coaching rather than managerial responsibilities.
Sheth remarked; “If he is not to remain at West Ham United, I would expect the next manager to come in to be more of the head coach, and probably less control over the recruitment than Moyes has enjoyed over the past few years.”
