Legendary forward Samuel Eto’o is set for a meeting with West Ham striker target Hugo Ekitike and it could be a game changer.
If any doubt remained that West Ham should have signed a striker in the summer then it has surely been put to bed over the last month or two.

West Ham were linked with a plethora of strikers in the summer window including PSG outcast Hugo Ekitike.
Last month rumours in France suggested West Ham have been laying the groundwork on a move for Ekitike as soon as the January window opens given the situation with AFCON.
Now Samuel Eto’o is set for a meeting with West Ham striker target Ekitike and it could be a game changer.
Because according to Sports Zone – as also reported by GFFN – Eto’o, the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation, is set to meet with the 21-year-old in a bid to convince him to represent the country at the upcoming AFCON.
And that would surely put paid to West Ham’s interest given the club needs a player who can come in and help the side immediately while AFCON is taking place.
Ekitike has yet to feature for Les Bleus but has represented the France U20 side on six occasions. He has since fallen off the radar of the French selectors entirely and has played just eight minutes of first-team football this season.
