West Ham United’s hopes of finishing inside the top seven of the Premier League table this season have been assessed by Roy Keane.
Roy Keane was a guest in the Sky Sports’ studio this afternoon, and delivered his verdict on the Premier League top seven hopes of West Ham this season.
Hammers boss David Moyes has done a magnificent job since returning to the London Stadium in December 2019.
However, there are still plenty of dissenting voices amongst the fans at the London Stadium about the way that the Scot sets up his team.
The 60-year-old admitted yesterday that he would be happy to work as manager of West Ham without the job security of a long-term contract.
What cannot be argued is the fact that Moyes gets results, and he has done for quite some time now at West Ham.
Is he capable of guiding us to a third top seven finish during his second stint at the club though?
Roy Keane delivers West Ham verdict
The well-renowned pundit has high hopes for the Hammers this season it seems.
Keane backed us for a top seven finish, when speaking on Sky Sports Super Sunday today (December 17th, 1:56pm):
“Yeh I think so, they’re going along nicely. The balance of the squad, David has done really well, they’re competing in Europe and doing well. They’ve got some really good players when you look at their squad, they’re a really good team and should be competing for Europe, West Ham will fancy their chances.”
I completely agree with Keane, we really should be challenging for a top seven spot, what with the players Moyes has at his disposal.
It is very hard to juggle the Europa League with the Premier League, and still remain competitive in both, we all know that.
However, Moyes has plenty of options to rotate.
Roy Keane has backed us for a top seven finish, but the onus will very much be on Moyes and his ability to manage his squad properly.
