West Ham United have their eyes on a very specific January transfer window striker signing it seems.
David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his centre-forward ranks at the London Stadium this winter, with the addition of a new striker an absolute must for West Ham.
Hammers hitman Michail Antonio has been horrendous over the past year or so, and the 33-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from the club.
Moyes will be well aware that if he is to take West Ham to another level, he needs to sign a top-class finisher who can put in the physical work that he expects of his forwards as well.
The Hammers really aren’t flush with cash though, due to ongoing concerns about FFP, so Moyes will have to be thrifty in his transfer business this winter.

C&H suggest that the Hammers will only be signing British players in January.
And if the opportunity arises to sign a striker, it will be an addition from the Championship for West Ham and nothing more this winter.
Sammie Szmodics, Adam Armstrong, Jack Clarke and Crysencio Summerville are the current top four scorers in the Championships this season. Given the age profile of Szmodics, and the limitations of Armstrong and Clarke, I believe that only Summerville is a realistic target for us.
The 22-year-old Leeds man is incredibly versatile as well, and can play on either wing or through the middle.
Summerville has bagged seven goals and six assists in 15 Championship games so far this season for Leeds (Transfermarkt).
Whatever happens, it will be crucial for Moyes to get a new attacking player signed up in the January transfer window, if we are to go on and enjoy a successful 2023/24 campaign on all fronts.
If there is going to be a West Ham striker signing though, it will be a British forward from the Championship. That said, that doesn’t mean it will be a dull and uninspiring addition.
