West Ham appointed Julen Lopetegui as the new head coach back in the summer, but things simply haven’t worked out.

I think a change in the Hammers hot-seat is needed, if we are to make any kind of progress as a club over the next few years.
Lopetegui has proven that he doesn’t have what it takes to improve the playing style and get results on a consistent basis.
The fact that he’s five months into the job and still hasn’t made any discernible changes to the playing style is just not good enough.
He lacks any kind of charisma during interviews, and I genuinely feel like that rubs off on the players on match-days.
His man management skills are severely lacking as well it seems.

The Spaniard certainly hasn’t impressed since he took over at the London Stadium in the summer.
The football has been utterly turgid, and the results incredibly poor on the whole.
Another big issue I have with Lopetegui is that he seemingly doesn’t get on very well with his players.
The 58-year-old has already fallen out with Jean-Clair Todibo, and now it seems like the same could happen with another key Hammers star.
Claret and Hugh suggest that Lopetegui does not trust Lucas Paqueta – certainly not in must-win games, due to his profligate nature with the ball at his feet.
I mean, I do understand where he’s coming from – Paqueta has been in really poor form for the Hammers this season.
However, the fact that he’s dropping our most technically gifted player for must-win games doesn’t say much about his management skills does it.
There is no rhyme or reason to what Lopetegui does.
West Ham were lucky not to lose against Wolves, and the 2-1 win papered over the cracks – a result that saved Julen Lopetegui from the sack, for now at least.
If he had anything about him, he would start Paqueta, but insist that he doesn’t try anything silly in and around his own penalty box.
At the end of the day, the Brazilian is an asset for the Hammers, whilst Lopetegui is not. So if the Spaniard continues to leave him out in big games, there will be only one winner.
And that will result in Lopetegui being handed his P-45.
