Report: Spurs could move for Serie A star instead of Ivan Toney
Calciomercato.it have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen as an alternative to Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
The report states that Osimhen remains in ‘the sights of many top European clubs’, some of whom could make a ‘decisive assault’ on the striker in January.
The outlet adds that ‘the Premier League sirens continue to sound’ for the Nigerian, with Tottenham said to be one of his admirers.

It is explained that with the 24-year-old’s contract running out in 2025 and with Napoli failing to make progress in their talks over a new contract, the Italian club could put the player for sale.
Calciomercato.it go on to say that the reigning Serie A champions would demand a whopping €120m (£105m) for the striker, which they alleged is ‘within reach’ for Spurs
The publication asserts that Osimhen has ‘not ruled out’ the possibility of moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but it is suggested that the Lilywhites may face competition from their London rivals, Chelsea, who are also on the lookout for a centre-forward.
Tottenham would have to almost double their previous transfer record to sign Osimhen. I see no chance of that happening. Spurs tend to shop in the £40m-£60m price range, which is why the likes of Santiago Gimenez or Jonathan David are more realistic targets.
