Graham Potter has a clear summer transfer plan for West Ham as he lays groundwork to sign incredible talent for just £17m. West Ham United manager Graham Potter has some seriously exciting plans up his sleeve.
There could be a big clear-out in East London this summer, with West Ham head coach Graham Potter keen to freshen up his ranks at the London Stadium. Potter needs to make numerous new signings, and is said to be targeting some bargain basements deals, including potential moves for soon-to-be free agents Angel Gomes and Jonathan David.
It could be argued that the Hammers head coach needs to make five or six signings as a bare minimum this summer.

Potter and his coaching staff have a lot of work to do if they are to get West Ham back challenging for Europe again. Positive change doesn’t happen overnight, so we all need to be very patient with him and his players.
The good news is that Potter seemingly has a very specific plan for the summer, and his latest target is one that the Hammers fans will all be able to get behind.
Graham Potter has clear summer transfer plan for West Ham
The player recruitment over the past few years at West Ham has lacked any kind of innovative thinking. And the strategy, or lack thereof, has been totally devoid of cohesion.
Sure, Tim Steidten oversaw some good signings, including the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jean-Clair Todibo. However, for every one of those, there has been a Niclas Fullkrug and a Luis Guilherme to even things out.
I would much prefer us to go down a similar route to the likes of Brighton and Brentford when it comes to player recruitment. The most sustainable model in football is signing tremendous young talents BEFORE they become stars.
That way, clubs can then make huge profits by selling them on after a few years. Just look at what Brighton have done with the likes of Moises Caicedo and Carlos Baleba. I get the feeling that specific philosophy is one that Potter wants to emulate.
Graham Potter wants to bring Samuel Mbangula to West Ham. Calciomercato claim that Samuel Mbangula is a transfer target for the Hammers, and the groundwork has allegedly already been laid to sign him.
It is suggested that Juventus would sell the young winger for around £17 million plus bonuses. The Hammers allegedly had an £8.3 million bid rejected for the 21-year-old forward in the January transfer window.
And Potter is clearly not giving up on bringing the talented left winger to the London Stadium from Juventus. Mbangula has been a big hit with Juventus this season, with his lightning quick speed and direct playing style.
He has four goals and four assists in 27 games for Juve this season (Transfermarkt) – an impressive tally given his age and lack of experience at the very highest level.
However, it has been his overall performance levels that have caught the attention of numerous clubs on the continent.
The Belgium international is a right-footed left winger by trade but he can also play out wide on the right or in the number 10 position.
Samuel Mbangula is an absolute superstar in the making, and he would be a hugely exciting signing for West Ham in the summer.
