According to a report from Turkish publication Hurriyet (print edition January 16th, page 15), the Hammers are trying to hijack Newcastle’s proposed move to sign Turkish attacker Baris Alper Yilmaz this month.
I would absolutely love the 24-year-old to move to the London Stadium.
And what a statement of intent it would be from West Ham if we managed to beat moneybags Newcastle to his signature.
Described as ‘incredible’ by beIN SPORTS, the Galatasaray forward seemingly has everything needed to flourish in the Premier League with the Hammers.
He has bagged 10 goals in 18 Super Lig games for Galatasaray this season, and he can play out wide on either wing or through the middle.
Yilmaz possesses impressive pace, has superb technical ability and is a superb finisher. Get this man signed now David Sullivan.
