Report: Club have ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with Tottenham centre-back target

TuttoMercatoWeb report that rumoured Tottenham target Radu Dragusin has a gentleman’s agreement with Genoa that he will be allowed to leave in January if a sufficient offer arrives.

Tutto Juve reporter Mirko Di Natale took to social media recently to suggest that Spurs were one of several clubs exploring a move for Dragusin, who has emerged as one of the best young centre-backs in Serie A following his switch to Rossoblu.

However, Fabrizio Romano poured cold water on the reports, remarking a couple of days ago that the 21-year-old is expected to sign a new contract at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

Radu Dragusin should be allowed to leave in January

TMW have now claimed that while Dragusin will sign a contract extension at Genoa, he will do so with one condition.

It is explained that the Italian club have agreed to let the centre-back leave in January if they receive an offer of €30m (£26.2m) for the player.

The outlet adds that a number of Premier League clubs have their eyes on Dragusin, with Spurs alleged to be facing competition from Newcastle and Brighton for the youngster.

    Spurs Web Opinion

Dragusin was clearly a target identified by the Fabio Paratici and Leonardo Gabbanini regime. It remains to be seen if the Romanian is still on the North London club’s wishlist, now that the recruitment department has been revamped.
