Report: A better Tottenham team as club is ready to sell 20-year-old in January
In what comes as a boost to Tottenham’s pursuit of Samuel Iling-Junior, Bianconera News have claimed that Juventus would prefer to offload the youngster in January rather than next summer.
The speculation linking Iling-Junior with a move to Spurs has gone into hyperdrive since it was first reported by The Independent last week that the Lilywhites had set their sights on the versatile attacker.
Gazzetta dello Sport claimed on Wednesday that the Serie A giants would be willing to sell the winger for €15m (£13.1m) since he has refused to sign a new contract while TMW suggested on Thursday that a transfer looks more ‘probable’ for the 20-year-old after Tottenham entered the race.
However, Spurs are not the only ones eyeing the Chelsea academy graduate, with TEAMtalk stating a couple of days ago that Aston Villa, Fulham and Everton also have their eyes on the player.
Juventus want to sell Samuel Iling-Junior in January
Bianconera News have now stated that the Old Lady might not want to miss out on the ‘opportunity’ to cash in on Iling-Junior in January, and Tottenham ‘in particular’ are keen on him.
The outlet states that Spurs are a ‘growing team with an ambitious project’ who could afford to the winger in January.
It is explained that Massimiliano Allegri’s men like the idea of selling Iling-Junior mid-season rather than waiting until next summer.
Given that Tottenham’s interest in Iling-Junior appears to be concrete, I wonder if there is a possibility of a swap deal between the 20-year-old and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with Juve evidently liking the Dane’s profile.
