Oh no…..Yet another sad news for Totteham Hotspur. There is another injury” – Alasdair Gold confirms another Tottenham player has picked up an injury

Tottenham Hotspur expert Alasdair Gold has confirmed Tottenham have another player injured.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Gold and Guest podcast, he confirmed that Eric Dier was unavailable for the City game due to an injury.

He revealed that the defender felt soreness after their last training session before the game at Etihad due to which he was left out.

    He said (55:00 onwards):

“There is another injury. Technically Eric Dier was not available for the Manchester City game because he felt soreness after the final training session.

So technically there is another player on the injury list there.”

Dier has fallen down the pecking order under manager Ange Postecoglou who does not seem to fancy him at all.

He has only played two games this season, coming off the bench against Chelsea after Romero’s red card and against Wolves when he started alongside Ben Davies.

He was then dropped once again with Postecoglou preferring fullback Emerson Royal over him.

He is strongly linked with a January exit with Daniel Levy reportedly keen on cashing in on him rather than letting him go on a free in the summer.

However, transfer insider Dean Jones earlier claimed that Tottenham could end up keeping him and he may have more chances in the team given their ongoing injury crisis.

The January transfer window could decide his future at the club. Tottenham desperately need to bolster their defense in the upcoming window with them being linked with several defenders including Lloyd Kelly, Tosin Adarabioyo, Jean-Clair Todibo and Jarrad Branthwaite.

But if they fail to sign a top defender or two, they could end up keeping Dier for the rest of the season.
