Crystal Palace linked Kalvin Phillips has struggled since his arrival in London during the January transfer window, now he’s been criticised.
One of England’s regulars, Kalvin Phillips has dropped in the pecking order substantially after struggling to get minutes for Manchester City which led to him moving to West Ham on loan to little joy.
In January prior to joining the Hammers, Crystal Palace were also keen on bringing in Phillips but ultimately he proved too expensive.
His agent even tried to decrease the asking price for the Englishman as Roy Hodgson spoke to the media about how he wanted Phillips and could offer him regular football.

Gareth Southgate criticises Kalvin Phillips
Speaking to the press after announcing his latest England squad, Southgate actually singled out one man for critique despite previously favouring him.
“His form has just not been good enough recently”, Southgate explained about Phillips.
Continuing, the manager explained he’d explained the situation to the on-loan West Ham man, “I’ve spoken to him, he understands.
“He’s got all the attributes to force his way back in. I said if he continued not to play at City would be a problem”.
Crystal Palace should return for Kalvin Phillips this summer
Despite missing out in January, in which the pursuit was labelled a waste of time, this summer could see a move be a lot more likely.
Palace are a far more attractive prospect now than they were under Hodgson which could lead to bigger names such as Phillips coming.
His move to West Ham hasn’t worked out and it’s tough to imagine City wanting to keep him after how bad he’s been, so Palace could swoop in and offer him a chance to get back to his best.
He’d be a perfect Oliver Glasner player with high pressing and winning the ball back before moving it quickly forward a large part of his game.
