‘No longer ruled out’ Stunning West Ham loan move for £65m striker flop gets green light

Stunning West Ham loan move for £65m striker flop Randal Kolo Muani gets green light. West Ham will be going all out to bring in at least one striker in the January transfer window, especially after Michail Antonio’s car crash.

West Ham looked set for disappointment in their pursuit of one alleged target. Last month the Hammers were linked with a loan move for Randal Kolo Muani of PSG and France.

Journalist Graeme Bailey exclusively told Hammers News that West Ham were one of a number of Premier League clubs exploring a move for Kolo Muani.

But crucially he stated the east Londoners had a major advantage over their rival suitors – the offer of guaranteed game time. Indeed at West Ham it would likely be a guaranteed starting spot.

Bailey stated Kolo Muani, who was inches away from scoring the winner in the last World Cup final, had come onto the radar of technical director Tim Steidten.

“Tim Steidten is aware of the player who previously starred for Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany, and if Kolo Muani does move, West Ham will throw their hat into the ring,” Bailey said. Given PSG paid £65m – with a potential further £10-15m in add-ons – the links seemed far-fetched to many.

But soon after Bailey’s revelation, L’Équipe stated the 26-year-old had reached a point of no return in Paris.

After being linked with a move to east London, though, further reports emerged in France stating the player had no intention of leaving PSG in January.

There has been a major development today, though, according to a top journalist.

West Ham loan move for Kolo Muani gets green light

Because a stunning West Ham loan move for £65m striker flop Kolo Muani has been given the green light.

The France international has failed to live up to the whopping fee PSG paid for him from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023.

West Ham have good relations with the French giants after the signings of Alphonse Areola, Thilo Kehrer and the active loan of Carlos Soler.

Now Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has delivered a hugely encouraging update.

Plettenberg, who counts Steidten among his close contacts, has revealed Kolo Muani will now be on the move in January.

And he says unnamed Premier League clubs have made loan with option to buy offers to PSG.

Crucially, though, Plettenberg states the player himself is now open to a move – but only to a club where he is going to be getting plenty of game time.

“A transfer of Randal Kolo Muani in the upcoming winter transfer window is no longer ruled out!” Plettenberg said.

“PSG and the 25 year-old striker are open to options where he can get regular playing time.

“Understand there are already several requests for a loan with an option to buy, especially from the Premier League.

“In the 1-0 win against Lens on Saturday, he spent 90 minutes on the bench. His contract runs until 2028.”
