‘My mind’s blown’ – Rory Jennings can’t believe what he saw in West Ham win v Arsenal

Rory Jennings’ mind blown by what he saw in West Ham game v Arsenal. Rory Jennings was left in shock by what West Ham United did in their Premier League game against Arsenal on Saturday.

The Hammers managed to earn all three points against the Gunners away from home to earn an impressive victory and put a dent in Arsenal’s title challenge. West Ham ‘Stuck in Stalemate’ Over Number 1 Striker…

Graham Potter has certainly had a mixed bag results wise since taking over at the London Stadium but the win against the Gunners is a big morale boost. Jennings lauded Potter for the performance his team put in and was visibly shocked by what he’d seen occur on 22 February.

Jennings left exasperated that West Ham beat Arsenal

The Hammers’ 1-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday was their first Premier League game in the last five that they’d played which they left with all three points

Injuries to players such as Niclas Fullkrug have massively hindered the way that things have gone at the London Stadium this term and there’s evidently still a lot more that could come from Potter’s men.

The likes of Jarrod Bowen were among those who impressed on the day and Jennings, while live on talkSPORT (22 February), couldn’t hold back his surprise after the final whistle was blown.

“Honestly, my mind’s blown about what we’ve seen at the Emirates,” he said. “I cannot believe that Graham Potter has effectively launched Arsenal out of a title race, Graham Potter!

“He’s gone to the Emirates and launched Arsenal out of the title race, I didn’t think he had that about it, it’s such a big result for him.”

West Ham safe from Premier League relegation

Up until their win over Arsenal, there were some murmurs around whether the Hammers actually had what it takes to keep themselves up this season.

Evan Ferguson was brought in during January as a stop-gap solution to their recent striker woes but since his inclusion into the squad, he’s not made much of an impact just yet.

There’s no doubt that Potter would have wanted to bring in some additional new faces in the winter window but the fact they spent big in summer on players who haven’t consistently proven to be an upgrade on the team.

The Englishman has essentially inherited Julen Lopetegui’s failure and there will have to be an element of patience as he looks to implement his own changes on the team.

While one win won’t change the course of their entire season, the fact that West Ham now know they can compete with the best teams in the league will surely give them some motivation to build on this victory.

Sky Sports pundit blown away by what Wan-Bissaka did to Calafiori in West Ham win. Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the standout performer for West Ham as they secured a crucial three points at the Emirates.

West Ham picked up only their second win under Graham Potter with a 1-0 victory away to Arsenal on Saturday afternoon (22 February) with their game plan working perfectly.

Potter opted to go with a back five for the Irons, in an attempt to subdue any attacking threat posed by the hosts and it did exactly that.

The Gunners failed to carve out any real goalscoring opportunities with the West Ham defence showcasing their solidity, with One man standing out in particular.
