West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui has a strong interest in signing an elite France international this summer. Julen Lopetegui has made a strong start to life at West Ham, after making two stunning signings already in the form of Luis Guilherme and Max Kilman.
The Spaniard is working closely alongside director of football Tim Steidten to adequately strengthen his ranks at the London Stadium before the start of the new season.
In fact, it has been claimed that he wants the majority of his transfer business all wrapped up before the bulk of the Hammers’ pre-season campaign begins.
Lopetegui definitely needs to strengthen his centre-forward ranks as a matter of urgency, and is believed to be eyeing up a move for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran.

However, the Hammers head coach needs to bolster pretty much every single department of his squad before the transfer window slams shut. And one signing he’s now eyeing up plays in a position that Lopetegui has already significantly strengthened!
Julen Lopetegui interested in signing France international for West Ham
The former Wolves boss clearly isn’t holding back when it comes to bolstering his ranks at the London Stadium this summer. He has already made some very impressive moves, but he’ll be well aware that his work is far from done.
Julen Lopetegui of West Ham United during Pre-Season training on July 09, 2024 in Kitzbuehel, Austria. And now the 57-year-old could be set to really take his summer business to another level entirely.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus really want to sign Jean-Clair Todibo this summer, but West Ham’s interest in the defender is ‘strong’, with the Hammers the only club to come close to Nice’s asking price for the 6ft 3in centre-back.
The Hammers board have already offered around £30 million for the 24-year-old, – £13 million more than Juventus have bid, with Nice demanding closer to £34 million.

I really think that West Ham should be going all out to bring the former Barcelona man to the London Stadium this summer.
He would be the perfect partner for Kilman, and the Hammers would have one of the very best central defensive partnerships in the Premier League all of a sudden.
The Nice star is an elite central defender, and he has really impressed for the Ligue 1 outfit since joining them from Barcelona three years ago.
The 24-year-old is incredibly strong in the air, possesses impressive pace for such a big man and he reads the game superbly well.
Todibo is definitely ready to make the jump up from Ligue 1 to the Premier League, and he should be perfectly suited to England’s top tier. If Julen Lopetegui manages to bring Jean-Clair Todibo to West Ham this summer, we could be in for a seriously exciting next few years.
