JAMIE O’HARA CONFUSED BY ANGE POSTECOGLOU DECISION ON £190,000-A-WEEK TOTTENHAM PLAYER

One of the Tottenham Hotspur players who is doing extremely well under Ange Postecoglou at the moment is Son Heung-min, and the forward played yet again for Spurs, this time against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur beat Liverpool 2-1 in North London in the Premier League.

Son Heung-min, who is now the Tottenham captain, scored the opening goal of the match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 36th minute.

The South Korea international forward led the line for Spurs in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou decided to take Son off in the 69th minute.

The match was 1-1 at the time.

Former Tottenham player Jamie O’Hara was confused by Postecoglou’s decision to bring off the £190,000-a-week (Spotrac) star.

I’m on air watching the game can someone tell me why Son got took off? Surely this is his moment #Spurs

Tottenham went on to win the Premier League match against Liverpool 2-1.

Joel Matip scored an own goal in the sixth minute of injury time.

Spurs are now second in the Premier League table with 17 points from seven matches.

The North London outfit are a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.

    Why Son Heung-min came off

Like Jamie O’Hara, some Tottenham Hotspur fans may also be confused as to why Son Heung-min was taken off.

After all, Tottenham were going for the win at that stage of the match.

Ange Postecoglou took off the South Korean star due to fitness issues.

The Tottenham head coach has said that Son was never going to play the entire 90 minutes, adding that the forward was desperate to start against Liverpool despite not being 100% fit.

Postecoglou said about Son, as quoted in Football.London: “Look, he wasn’t 100 per cent but I had a chat with him yesterday and he was desperate to play. He was going to give what he could and he did.

“He was never going to play the whole 90, we were always going to give him an hour or so but he led from the front again and he was the one doing the pressing.”
