However, the Spaniard agreed to work under a director of football, so he made his bed, now he has to lie in it. Lopetegui’s chief focus has to be on getting the best out of his players. He needs to implement a playing style that suits the players he has at his disposal.
We need the feel-good feeling back at the London Stadium, but could it be argued that it’s actually too late to get things back on track under the Spaniard?

The main problem Lopetegui has is that nobody really knows the system he is trying to implement at West Ham. From my perspective, absolutely nothing has changed from last season.
Just like it was under Moyes, the football has been painful to watch and our defence has more leaks than the Titanic.
Something has to change if Julen Lopetegui is to succeed at West Ham, and fast.
The outlook seems bleak right now Though, it must be said.
