West Ham United: Guvna B rages over what David Moyes did in defeat v Liverpool
Celebrity West Ham fan Guvna B raged over the decision by David Moyes to only bring Mohammed Kudus on as a late substitute in the defeat to Liverpool on Sunday (24 September).
The award-winning rapper, whose Hammers-inspired song “Massive” topped the Apple Music charts in January 2022, tweeted on Sunday that he is going to “lose it” if the Ghanaian international only plays 15-minute cameos in the Premier League.
He added that the 23-year-old forward is also going to the African Cup of Nations in January, too, potentially limiting his opportunities to impress further for the Irons this season after signing from Ajax over the summer.
Makes no sense
It makes absolutely no sense for Kudus to have only played towards the end of the game against Liverpool after replacing Michail Antonio in the 74th minute in the 3-1 loss at Anfield.
The forward would have come into the match full of confidence, having scored twice on his full debut in the 3-1 victory over Backa Topola in the Europa League.
But Moyes waited until the side had gone behind and didn’t really give him much opportunity to have an impact on the game, to the disappointment of many of the fans.
The Hammers boss has earned the trust of the supporters over the years, but he is more often than not far too negative when we come up against some of the so-called bigger teams.
You would like to think we will see Kudus named in the starting lineup in the Premier League sooner rather than later, but you can never really predict how Moyes is going to embed a new signing into the side.
