“I’m a little uncomfortable” | One of West Ham’s new signings says he needs more time to settle in

“I’m a little uncomfortable” | One of West Ham’s new signings says he needs more time to settle in. Niclas Fullkrug has admitted that he needs “a little more time” to adapt to life at West Ham and in the Premier League.

Despite being of a similar profile to the likes of Sebastian Haller and Gianluca Scamacca (two strikers who was never able to produce consistently for West Ham), Niclas Fullkrug is a completely different beast.

His goal scoring record speaks for itself and there’s clearly a genuine believe from the recruitment team that he’s the man to solve the club’s striker woes.

Unfortunately, like a lot of players who haven’t played in England before, Fullkrug hasn’t exactly hit the ground running and he’s still waiting for his first goal in claret and blue.

Although he hints that it’s taken a little more time to adapt than he would have liked, he also urges fans to be patient. “A move abroad is different than moving from Bremen to Dortmund,” he told DFB. “I still need a little time to settle in. Like some of my teammates. [It’s] more physical and dynamic, but less tactical. It’s another dream, I’m comfortable.”

Hopefully he can come back from the international break and really show the Premier League what he’s capable of. The Hammers squad is a lot better off than it was last season, but without a striker scoring consistently a lot of their issues still remain the same.
