One striker in particular apparently wants to join West Ham United in the January transfer window.
West Ham have been crying out for a proper striker who suits the system deployed by David Moyes for quite some time now.
And the Hammers boss may well be inching ever closer to finally bringing in the perfect fit for the job at the London Stadium in the January transfer window.
Boulaye Dia is a forward who we’ve been persistently linked with over the past two years or so, going all the way back to 2021.
Now the door apparently could be well and truly open for West Ham to finally bring the 27-year-old to the club…
Striker wants to join West Ham in January
According to a new report from Calcio Salernitana, Dia’s main preference is to join the Hammers this month.
That’s not it though, far from it. Salernitana are now asking for just €15 million (£12 million) for the Senegal international.
This is surely an absolute no-brainer for West Ham now. Dia would be a major upgrade on Michail Antonio.
The powerful striker is incredibly strong, has energy in abundance and really impressive pace as well.
He is well capable of playing with his back to goal, and is always willing to make those tireless, unselfish runs into the channels in order to help out his team.
If the Salernitana striker really wants to join West Ham in the January transfer window, Moyes cannot hesitate to make it happen.
We’re on the verge of having a truly incredible side. One of the only things missing is a powerful striker who suits Moyes’s system down to the ground, but signing Dia would change all of that in an instant.
