West Ham United head to the Emirates to take on high flying Arsenal in the Premier League this evening.
Arsenal can go top of the Premier League table with a win, so David Moyes and his West Ham players will be well aware of the difficulty of the task that awaits them in north London.
The Hammers go into the game in fine form ourselves though, and can jump back to sixth spot in the table with a win against the Gunners.
One of the key aspects of our fine recent form has been the exceptional link-up play between our front three of Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus.
Moyes will be hoping that those three can cause Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal all sorts of problems tonight.
However, it seems like the Scot could be ready to throw as curveball into the mix against the Gunners this evening…
West Ham hint attacker will get 5th PL start of the season vs Arsenal
The official Hammers X account posted their usual pre-game preview for tonight’s clash with a picture featuring three players.
Bowen and Kudus were joined by a surprise third player on the mocked-up photo – Said Benrahma..
Why would he be included in the picture if Moyes wasn’t planning to involve him in the game tonight?
It would be a huge shock if the 28-year-old starts against the Gunners. He has been absolutely awful for the Hammers this season, starting only four Premier League games so far (Who Scored).
The only way I can see Moyes even considering starting Benrahma is if one of his central midfield three are unfit to play, meaning that he could move Paqueta back into the middle – a decision that would leave the left wing spot up for grabs.
If that is the case, and the Algeria international starts for West Ham against Arsenal, it will be a major opportunity for him to reestablish himself in Moyes’s starting lineup. Despite the hint from the Hammers X account though, I just can’t see the former Brentford man playing from the start tonight.
