Ex-manager: Kudus questions to emerge behind scenes at West Ham for Potter

Mohammed Kudus questions emerge behind the scenes at West Ham after what happened. West Ham boss Graham Potter will be ripping his hair out after Mohammed Kudus’ miss against Brentford on Saturday.

The Hammers conceded after just four minutes on 15 February as Kevin Schade took advantage of some suspect Alphonse Areola goalkeeping. This proved to be the killer moment of the clash in East London as Thomas Frank’s side secured an away win for just the third time this season, finishing 1-0.

Things could have proved to be so different for the home side if the Ghana international had taken his chance in the second half.

Mohammed Kudus to face West Ham axe after Brentford miss. The 24-year-old has struggled for output in the Premier League so far this campaign, going eight games without a goal or an assist.

West Ham want to sign Rangers star as Kyle Macaulay eyes change – report

West Ham want to sign Rangers star as Kyle Macaulay eyes change – report. This should have changed against the Bees after having the ball served up on a plate to him by debutant Evan Ferguson just three minutes into the second half.

The ex-Ajax man smashed the ball into the stands from the six-yard line which hasn’t gone down well with former Brentford boss Martin Allen who believes the Hammers analysts and Potter will have serious questions about the forward.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “You always as a manager have to work out and look at the stats. “How many games has Kudus played? How many goals and assists has he made?

“Every club will have analysts now to put numbers in front of the manager who will then make a decision. “If he’s going to go 20 games without scoring a goal or win any points for West Ham, you’ve got to question why he’s in the team.

“I think Summerville is going to be fit soon and will play ahead of him, at the minute Kudus is falling short of what would be needed for a winning team.“ Crysencio Summerville deserves to start ahead of Mohammed Kudus at West Ham

The Ghanaian needs to be given a rest and allowed to build some confidence which appears to be nonexistent right now.

This could be helped by being utilised as a substitute in the coming weeks while affording Crysencio Summerville the opportunity to start once again when he recovers from injury.

Ultimately this could benefit all parties including Potter, especially after the Dutchman has spent a lengthy period out with injury at the London Stadium.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the Irons’ head coach can make the most out of his squad to get the best out of Kudus and hisother attacking options.
