Guglielmo Vicario is part of the leadership group at Tottenham and the Italian is a highly respected figure in the dressing room.
However, his decision-making, particularly when it comes to dealing with balls into the box has once again come under the scanner after his errors against Wolves.
The 28-year-old failed to cover himself in glory for two of the four goals that Tottenham Hotspur conceded at Molineux, with his part in Djed Spence’s own goal being nothing short of calamitous.
As a result, the Tottenham number one again finds his place in the starting XI coming under scrutiny.

One man who is certainly very impressed with the Czech goalkeeper is Djed Spence, who admitted that he is a fan of the 22-year-old’s composure.
The full-back said about Kinsky on the Premier League’s YouTube channel: “He brings composure. As a keeper, he’s very good with the ball, so I think that’s one of his main strengths as well.”
Composure is one quality that Vicario seems to lack while dealing with balls into the box, although his leadership is something that Tottenham would not want to do without, particularly for the huge game on Thursday.

While the pressure from the outside might be mounting on the goalkeeper, the Spurs head coach is certainly not entertaining the idea of dropping him.
Following the 4-2 loss against Wolves, Ange Postecoglou made it very clear that he has full faith in Vicario, insisting that mistakes like the one on Sunday are ‘unusual’ for the Italy international, who is usually extremely reliable.
