Defensive Pursuit I Many Irons in the Fire. Despite the collapse of the transfer for Noussair Mazraoui, West Ham United are still actively exploring options to strengthen their defensive line, with multiple targets currently under consideration. The intriguing situation with Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka looks as if it could have more twists and turns yet.
While many are reporting that the Wan-Bissaka deal is done, there have been so many twists, turns and disappointment’s that West Ham would be foolish to count their chickens.

The Hammers had identified Jean-Clair Todibo as a potential addition, but despite agreeing personal terms, negotiations with Nice have stalled due to interest from Juventus. As a result, the club have turned their attention to other defensive targets, including Chelsea’s Trevor Chalobah.
West Ham Close to Securing Duran Deal
Chalobah has been left out of the Chelsea pre-season tour in USA and it has been reported yesterday by Fabrizio Romano that Chelsea want at least £30m for the defender, which may also put West Ham off any sort of permanent deal.

West Ham are also monitoring RB Salzburg defender Oumar Solet, who only has a year left on his contract. Although the 24-year old is wanted by several clubs across Europe which may make a deal difficult for the Irons
With the transfer window still open, West Ham will continue to assess their options and prioritise their defensive reinforcements.
