David Moyes is set to delay his decision to sign a new contract at West Ham United until the end of the season as he awaits fan opinion, according to Alan Nixon.
Despite a successful second spell as manager of the Hammers, Moyes has come under fire from certain sections of the supporters.
Complaints regarding his preferred style of play have led fans to call for a new manager for moving into the 2024/25 season.
Now a report to his Patreon, Sun journalist Nixon has suggested the Scot’s London Stadium future still hangs in the balance.
On that, he said: “David Moyes’ decision on his West Ham future will come down to love and not money. Moyes has a contract in front of him to sign and there are no problems with the terms or length of the deal.
“However, the experienced Scot is yet to commit as he watches fan reaction to him in the last couple of months of the season. Moyes is wrankled that some of the support want him out and he has to stand up for his style and results while coming under fire.
“that is bugging the boss who brought european success last season and may even repeat it and make the champions league this time. moyes is studying the response to him over the rest of the campaign before putting pen to paper.”

The Hammers have had a positive few years with Moyes at the helm for his second time as manager of the East Londoners.
In two of the last three seasons, sixth and seventh-place finishes were confirmed which led to European football [Premier League].
Last season, the league finish wasn’t what any fans would have wanted but crowning the campaign with a Conference League win was a moment no one will ever forget.
Although the club has had great success in recent seasons, fans are growing impatient with the style of football their side play.
Take this weekend (6 April) for example, West Ham beat Wolves 2-1 away. Another three points to cement the European place push in seventh place.
Moyes’ side had less possession, shots, passes and xG compared to Gary O’Neil’s side [FotMob]. Given that the Englishman has been in the job for less than a year, his ball-playing philosophy is already in full swing.
This sort of play style is what many Hammers fans have been clamouring for and with Moyes now unsure of a new contract, they may get their wish.
