“Cryptic messages” | A new West Ham signing is already making mysterious posts on social media

One of West Ham’s new Summer signings is already posting cryptic messages on social media, but they’re not necessarily a bad thing.

Normally, one of the first signs that something is going wrong behind the scenes with a younger player is they’re behaviour online. They may unfollow their club, remove them from their bio or, sometimes, they’ll even post messages with hidden meanings.

Unfortunately, it’s an issue West Ham fans have had to deal with in the past, particularly when it came to Jesse Lingard. Both him and his brother would post cryptic messages to their instagram stories when they were in talks with the Hammers over a permanent move.

Over the past couple of days, Crysencio Summerville has posted a similarly mysterious story. “If God is making you wait, then be prepared to receive more than you asked for God’s plan.”

On the surface, this might suggest that he’s unhappy with the lack of playing time he’s had so far in claret and blue, causing fans to be understandably concerned. However, it comes across more as him being accepting that he has to be patient. He trusts in his own ability and he knows the wait will be worth it.

Obviously, with how many brilliant attackers Julen Lopetegui has at his disposal, in any opportunity he does get it will be vital that he plays a well as he can in order to have a chance of breaking into the starting XI.

The Saudi newspaper reported via their website on Monday (26 August) that Zouma, 29, is unlikely to make his debut for the newly-promoted Saudi Pro League club in their clash with Al-Wehda on Wednesday (28 August) as he’ll be having his medical on the same day. Nawaf Al-Aqeel shared an image via his personal X account on Monday to show Zouma at an airport in Saudi Arabia. Al-Riyadh now claims the ex-Chelsea defender will sign permanently for Al-Orobah on a two-year deal.

Zouma failed a medical to join UAE club Shabab Al-Ahli earlier this month [BBC Sport].

Kurt Zouma set for West Ham United exit before transfer deadline

Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten have made a lot of signings this summer so it’s natural that someone like Zouma will leave.

The Frenchman has already lost the captain’s armband and has been primed to complete a move to the Middle East for most of the summer. There have to be some questions about whether or not the defender will pass this new medical he’s booked in for because he’s already failed one very recently.
